2021 brought ecolytiq a number of key partnerships that will continue to be integral to our mission of greening the banking and finance sector. What amazed us most was the incredible support we’ve experienced within the payments and banking tech world. As of today, we can reach more than 26.000 financial institutions around the globe through our partners who are using our services. This is absolutely mind- blowing, so see for yourself who we partnered with:
Early in 2021, we partnered with open banking provider FinTecSystems, enriching our product by providing us access to 6,000 banks and 500 million customers. Through this partnership, we further refined our categorization methodologies to give customers a more accurate portrait of the impact of their spending habits.
One of Europe’s leading payment and transactional service providers, Worldline partnered with ecolytiq to streamline green banking across the continent. Together, the partnership supports banks with the digital tools and infrastructure they need to nudge customer towards more sustainable lifestyle habits.

The future of environmental impact calculations is here. This partnership between two leading climate fintechs proves that teaming up is essential to tackle climate change. right. based on science provides temperature alignment metrics to bridge the gap between a customers’ spending habits and degrees warming of the planet. This collaboration will empower customers with more transparency around purchasing behavior than ever before.
Joining forces for sustainability, ecolytiq provides Tink with their sustainability expertise as a technology partner. As an open banking partner, Tink allows ecolytiq to enrich even more transactions with our Sustainability-as-a-Service ® and allows us to scale across Europe.
While our partnership with Visa technically begun in 2020, we took a monumental step forward this year with the release of the Visa Eco Benefits bundle. This landmark bundle packages a curated selection of sustainability offerings, including our Sustainability-as-a-Service ® solution, to equip Visa’s vast network of financial institutions with the green banking tools of tomorrow.

It also turned out to be a quite a good year for award nominations. We are humbled to know that our mission is resonating. It drives us to reach even higher in the new year.

First steps in the right direction
A milestone in the history of ecolytiq was reached this summer. With the launch of our first customer, Hamburg-based Tomorrow bank took a huge step forward in becoming just that – the bank of tomorrow. This huge accomplishment has meant that 2021 saw the first customers empowered with ecolytiq’s environmental transparency. They are taking steps every day to reduce their impact.
This only paves the way for more exciting news and milestones that we have coming in the new year. For those new to ecolytiq, we are excited to have you onboard. For those who have been with us for a while, we thank you for your ongoing support. A problem as big as climate change needs action from the not the few but rather of the many. And our community is an important part of that bigger puzzle.
Looking back on 2021, it was a hectic, fast-paced and incredibly successful year for us.
If next year is any indication of what is to come, then the future is looking bright.
