It started in 2017
It started in 2017 with how we imagined success to look like, “How Artificial Intelligence Has Managed to Sustainably Change Our Consumption.”
Organisation for Conscious Consumerism
This led to an idea for our non-profit, the Organisation for Conscious Consumerism, realizing that an individual’s payment transactions can reveal a lot about consumption behaviors.
TEDx and reaching the masses
Reaching our first widespread audience, David Lais, our CoFounder and Managing Director, gives a talk at TEDx about How modern technology can make our society more sustainable. You can watch it here.
Visa and ecolytiq
Visa Impact Challenge is where the path accelerated to ecolytiq. We first worked with the Visa team after winning the challenge, incubating the opportunities together in embedding sustainability into payments.
Turning a vision into reality with Tomorrow
From here led to the launch of our first implementation with a bank: Tomorrow. The focus was (and still is) a solution anchored in behavioral science and transparency.
Accelerating growth to reach over 2 Million users worldwide
Funding secured for scale that led to our growth today into reaching millions of customers daily all around the world, including the first climate banking implementation in MENA with Mashreq, and the first small business banking solution by a major high street bank with HSBC UK – already winning numerous industry accolades.
Our impact has also been recognized by CNBC ,where ecolytiq was named among the Top 200 Fintechs globally in 2023.
B Corp Certification
Our work is underscored through our B Corp certification just last year. - a recognition of our commitment to delivering high standards of social and environmental impact.
